Our Programme

 

The Delkia Engineering Graduate Scheme is a structured programme designed for recent engineering graduates to develop technical skills, industry knowledge and professional competencies in a real world setting.

The Delkia Engineering Graduate Scheme is a two-year structured programme designed for ambitious graduates seeking a career in the nuclear and defence sectors. Graduates will gain hands-on experience, technical expertise and professional development, while contributing to complex and critical engineering projects. Led by the Technical Engineering Director (TED) and supported by the Head of Research and Development (R&D), the scheme aligns with Delkia’s mission to nurture future engineering talent and support the UK’s broader skills development efforts. It also helps Delkia attract, train and retain highly-competent engineers and bring fresh ideas and perspectives to today's engineering challenges.​​

Key Features:

Rotational Placements

Gain exposure across multiple engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, nuclear, systems and software engineering.

Real-World Projects 

Work on innovative defence and nuclear projects, contributing to national security and energy infrastructure.

Technical Training

Industry-specific training, including radiological safety, advanced materials and regulatory compliance.

Mentorship & Support 

Receive guidance and support throughout the programme from your assigned mentor and buddy.

Professional Development

Support towards Chartered Engineer (CEng) status through mentoring, accredited training and industry-recognised qualifications.

We are looking for candidates with a Doctorate/Master's/Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related disciplines, such as:
